Business park
development
Over
several years, Community of Christ representatives have worked with the City of
Independence, the
Independence Council for Economic Development (ICED), and Clayco, Inc. to create
a business park in the Little Blue River Valley. Plans for the 360-acre
Independence
Business Park will be announced at an ICED luncheon
today.
The
church selected Clayco to be the project developer because its values are
aligned with Community of Christ, they are committed to environmentally sound
development, and it has a strong national reputation. Community of Christ will
not be an owner in the final project.
