Largest African American MEADS
The Ministerial Education and Discipleship Studies (MEADS)
session in August included 10 African-American congregation-ministry leaders
from four states: Illinois, Mississippi, Michigan, and Florida.
The students shared how they enjoyed meeting church members from
many parts of the United States. They said the fellowship and new friendships
enriched their ministries.
The next MEADS session will be February 1–5 at the Temple in
Independence, Missouri. Dr. Dale Luffman will teach a course on Community of
Christ scriptures. Dr. Jeri Lauren Lambert will teach on pastoral care.
