IYF International DatesBangkok IYF May 24–30 |

Two sites, more than 1,400 youth, leaders, and
storytellers. Worship, classes, small groups. Laughing,
singing, meeting God…priceless.
The two International Youth Forum (IYF) sites are well into planning to
teach new generations about the ethics of Christ’s peace in all arenas of
life. The IYF foundations will include ministry that focuses on Doctrine and
Covenants 163 and the sermon on the mount.
Sites outside the United States will explore selected scriptures and cultural emersions that examine what it means to be a world citizen.
The Independence, Missouri, IYF will feature six worships, enhanced by musician Ken Medema, that engage youth in the theme, “One.” Other themes will build on “One”:
One God, One Christ, One Spirit
One Person
One People, One Planet
One Peace
One Vision, One Mission
Classes, which will help blend communal learning into the worships, will include:
Many Stories—One Story
One Big Game
One Peace
Many People—One Planet
Many Needs—One Mission
Also, small groups will include a session with an apostle. These groups will give youth the chance to meet others, discuss key issues in their Christian walk, and explore topics that relate to Community of Christ’s mission.
The Village, back by popular demand, again will take place at multiple sites throughout the Temple complex.
Finally, youth will receive several informal opportunities to mingle with others. These will include a Tuesday-night street party, a Wednesday-night activity sponsored by Outreach International, and a Thursday-evening concert by Medema. Following the concert, participants will enjoy ice cream on the World Plaza.
