Grace and Generosity
We generously share according to our true capacity.
Examples of Jesus
“Draw the Circle Wide” CCS 273
How did Jesus exhibit generosity and grace with the people around him? Identify some scripture stories, such as the story of the woman at the well (John 4:7-30), the woman being stoned (John 8:2-11), or the woman asking for help for her daughter (Matthew 15:21-28/Mark 7:24-30). Dramatize these stories with modern language that shows how we are to give and receive grace and generosity to others, including strangers.

“Jesus’ Hands Were Kind Hands” CCS 585
Look at your hands. What do you do with your hands each day? Place one of your hands on a piece of paper and trace around it. Ask God to help you think of a person your touch could help. In the middle of your hand outline, write that person’s name and how you will use your helping hands for him or her. Keep track of what happens as you use your helping hands. How does it make you feel? How does the person you help feel? The love of God flows both through giving and receiving.
In warm months provide free gardening services to senior homeowners in the neighborhoods around the church. In cold weather, remove snow from their steps, driveways, and sidewalks.
