We thought you would like to know that:

We have made a difference. Since 1980, the World Hunger Fund Committee has distributed $6,529,300 through 510 requested grants in 32 countries.

$381,400 was contributed to the World Hunger Fund in 2000 (FY thru 9/30/2000)

$20,000 is granted each year to Bread for the World ( http://www.bread.org)—a citizen advocacy organization that initiates and supports hunger related issues throughout the world.

World Hunger Fund contributions also fund projects sponsored and administered by Outreach International (http://outreach-international.org/) and World Accord (Canada) (http://www.worldaccord.org/).

During the last two years we supported disaster relief efforts in El Salvador, India, Mozambique, Haiti, Turkey, Lodwar, and Kosovo totaling more than $190,000.

Local food pantry initiatives have been funded in Buffalo, New York; Orlando, Florida; Miami, Florida; and Rio Grande Valley, Texas
