Welcome and Sharing
Invitation to Worship
How are we instruments of God’s love?
By sharing our
joys with the gift of laughter
And our sorrows with a listening ear,
By helping
those who are in need
Of the Lord’s many blessings.
How are we instruments of God’s peace?
By reaching out
to the bruised and broken-hearted
Giving them reason to live life rather than to endure it,
By bringing
those who are sinful
Into reconciliation with Jesus Christ.
How are we instruments of God’s healing?
By praying for
others who are sick
Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, and Spiritually,
By comforting
those who suffer loss
Or those experiencing grief.
How are we instruments of God’s hope?
By proclaiming
the saving grace
Of the Lord through Jesus Christ,
By sharing the
good news
That Jesus Christ is Alive and Well.

Disciples’ Generous Response
Reading
Joy is greeting all people with twinkling eyes and a
warm smile.
Joy is sharing the gift of laughter.
Joy is victory over pain.
Joy is encouraging others to be the best they can be,
and then watching them soar like eagles.
Joy is showing the love of Jesus Christ to those who cross our path.
Joy is giving our time, talent, and treasures
so that we are able to magnify our Lord.

*Sending Forth
We have heard God’s call to servanthood. We are
reminded that "All are called according to the gifts of God unto
them" (Doctrine and Covenants 119:8b). "God’s call comes
as the pulse of each new day presenting us with opportunities to
witness and share our resources" [Walking with Jesus
(Community of Christ, 2004), 37]. Let us answer God’s call and bring
ministry to a hurting world. Amen.
