The Jonesboro, Arkansas,

Emphasizing Healthy Congregations
Apostle Mary Jacks Dynes and field missionary coordinator Kris Judd base their
approach in the Canada/North Central USA Mission Field on the CPI model to
create an atmosphere of invitation, witnessing, and serving in healthy
congregations. Mary and Kris have been meeting with each of the field’s mission
center missionary coordinators and presidents to empower them and build a strong
network.
In Canada East, a young adult camping ministry is emerging. Another model that
is integral to congregational identity in this diverse mission center is
Jubilee—based on the Encounter World Religions Centre. Mary explained, “People
are drawn to that because they feel it’s very important to be tolerant of other
religions.”
Visioning is taking place in Toronto, and congregations are emerging in Hamilton
and Ottawa as well. Outreach in Canada West is also strong for young adults and
neighborhoods surrounding congregations.

Children at City Center
Ministries in Davenport, Iowa, have much to celebrate! With the help
of World church grants, they meet in what was once an abandoned
house—now rehabbed for worship and youth activities. The "Center"
has become an act of faith, according to founders Dennis and Pam
LaRoque. They said, "Our experience is that God provides just enough
and just in time." |
