2007 World Conference Legislation

G-15 International Men’s Gathering (referred to First Presidency) —  follow-up comments

To the World Conference:

Whereas, The testimony of the Saints includes rich blessings from experiences taken from international gatherings at the Temple; and

Whereas, Many events since the opening of the Temple have provided for specific groups within the church, including women, youth, young adults, andspecific priesthood offices; and

Whereas, The men of the church have not yet been afforded an opportunity to gather together at the Temple to focus on their ministry needs and unique role in the world and discipleship therein; and

Whereas, The background for consideration of C-4 World Conference Interval included an anticipated schedule of the church-wide Temple ministry events; and

Whereas, the anticipated aforementioned schedule does not include an International Men’s Gathering at the Temple; therefore, be it

Resolved, That the First Presidency appoint a committee to plan, organize, and implement an International Men’s Gathering at the Temple.
