SPEC PRESENTS: “Once on This Island”

This Caribbean-Flavored musical by the highly successful Broadway team Ahrens and Flaherty features lively singing and dancing in a story-theatre format. It's a story of differences: two different worlds on one island. Superstition, fate, death, love and finally- redemption play out in the story of Ti Moune as she searches to find her purpose in life.

Be prepared to think outside the box and be a part of this unique theatrical event. Sunday morning we’ll start working on music and Sunday afternoon we’ll hold role auditions. Then we have five days to put this lively, funny, moving show together. (We also need musicians, technicians and stage managers. Let us know your interest and experience and we'll put you to work.)

Rehearsal Times: Class meets 10:15 – 12:05 daily (Shaw Center)

EXTRAVAGANZA

Auditions for individual acts will be held Tuesday afternoon, July 28. This is a combination of the traditional “talent show” and a chance to showcase the work of dance and music classes. We will consider all kinds of talent: solos, duets, group numbers, etc. Get your act together and show us what you’ve got.

Rehearsal Times: Class meets at 11:15 a.m. (Shaw Center)
