2008 SPEC Today

Someday Is Now!

Each day you’ll get a change to explore and experience the theme through music, activities, movies, drama, and discussion.

 These are a sample of classes held during 2008. Watch for posting of 2009 classes later in the spring.

Sunday – Walk Humbly
How do we define humility?  Today we’ll find out what it means to be humble and the importance of realizing our great worth in the eyes of God rather than obsessing about others’ opinions.

Monday – Be Just
What is justice and how does that impact me today? How does our world view social and economic justice and deal with injustice on both a global and personal level.

Tuesday – Create Peace
Find peace with ourselves and with Jesus and God is critical before we can really share peace with others. What does prayer have to do with peace?

Wednesday – Heal the Planet
What if healing the planet is bigger than just recycling?  We’ll look at healing for the planet through the interconnectedness of environment, social issues, and economic injustice.

Thursday – Love Courageously
Does God call us to love those who are different that us? We’ll explore new ways to see people through God’s eyes and focus on what we have in common with all people.
