Each staff member must complete the Registered Youth Worker application
process. All those who are not
considered guest ministers at camps must be registered prior to camp. This is
most effective when completed through the congregation.
Remember to send the
forms to your jurisdictional officers and not directly to Community of Christ
International Headquarters. Don’t wait until the last minute to attempt to
process applications. The registration process and forms are available on the
Legal Services website at
http://www.cofchrist.org/legal/youth-worker.asp.
As delegations work to put together their staff, please remember:
- Delegation staff must be 21 years of age.
- All staff must be registered with the camp (this includes all coaches)
- Delegation staff have as their first responsibility the well-being of
their delegation. In the past we have seen that fulfilling this
responsibility has been impaired when leaders bring their young children
(non-SPEC participants) with them. We strongly encourage that child care
arrangements outside of the SPECTACULAR experience be arranged. If this
will be an extreme hardship on your, or a member of your delegation staff,
please contact one of the SPEC directors to discuss this matter.
