ROBERT
R. KYSER, II
Robert R. Kyser, a minister for the Community of Christ, was set apart as the
Senior President of Seventy serving in Independence, Missouri, in April 1998.
His current responsibilities include missionary team leader, coordinator of
church planting, and field missionary coordinator for Central and South America.
A full-time minister since 1977, he holds the priesthood office of seventy.
Previous assignments include the North Central Region-Canada and U.S.A. and East
Central States Region.
A native of Miami, Oklahoma, Kyser graduated from the Woodroffe High School in
Ottawa, Ontario. He received a B.A. in history from Graceland University, Lamoni,
Iowa, and an M.A. in international affairs from George Washington University.
Kyser has also studied at the Defense Language Institute and St. Paul’s School
of Theology.
Prior to serving as a World Church Minister, he served in the U.S. Army and
worked in Germany as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces. Kyser was a compliance
investigator with the Drug Enforcement Administration and a house parent of the
Quad County Group Homes for Emotionally Disturbed Children.
Kyser’s other church responsibilities have included serving as a chaplain at
Graceland University, pastor, missionary coordinator, and youth leader.
He is married to Diane Louise Loving Kyser. They have two adult sons, Andrew
Robert and Troy Adam.
