Carolyn Brock is
the Spirituality and Wholeness Ministries Specialist at church headquarters. She
has pursued a lifelong interest in spirituality and healing through studies and
work in nursing (B.S.N., M.S.N., University of Oregon; F.N.P University of
Colorado), five years of volunteer development work and health education in
Africa, consulting, and Tangible Love projects in wholeness ministries at the
Temple Ministries Abundant Life Center.
Carolyn has completed a two-year certificate program with the Academy
for Spiritual Formation (Upper Room division of the United Methodist Church).
She served on the Standing High Council for the church from 1994 to 2000 and was
ordained as an evangelist in April 2000.

After
graduating from Graceland College, Sandee spent nine months living in Haarlem,
The Netherlands, and traveling through Europe. She returned to the United States
and began
her career as an elementary school music teacher, which lasted more than 27
years.
Sandee is an elder in the Community of Christ. She has served the church in the areas of worship, pastoral care, music,
and clown ministry. She was a senior high youth leader for 18 years. She enjoys
traveling and reading novels of mystery and intrigue.
During the last 10 years of teaching, Sandee developed and coordinated a
comprehensive conflict resolution program in her school. In 1990 Sandee and
Diane Kyser helped to create the Community Mediation Center in Davenport, Iowa.
Some of the areas in which they mediated were neighborhood disputes, small
claims, victim/offender, parent/child, churches, and businesses. During her 10
years with the Community Mediation Center, Sandee was the co-trainer for all of
the center's training, a mediator, and case manager. They were responsible for
training staff and children in conflict management skills at more than 30 schools.
During the last 12 years, Sandee has received more than 275 hours of training
in the area of conflict resolution and mediation.

Jeri is a partner to Sam and a full-time mother to Claire and Logan.
She is a family ministry specialist with Community of Christ Peace and Justice
Ministries and a therapist with the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky. In
addition, she is pursuing a doctor of ministry degree at Louisville Presbyterian
Theological Seminary and is a member of the Community of Christ Forest Hills
congregation in Louisville, Kentucky.

Roy
H. Schaefer is a minister for Community of Christ. He serves on the World Church
Peace and Justice Ministries team as the World Church congregational minister.
In the course of his ministry he has traveled throughout the world, sharing
services in almost thirty nations.
His ministry focuses on church an participatory community development,
especially centering on health related programs. He was an incorporator and
board member of Outreach, Inc., which has since become Outreach International.
Roy serves in leadership roles with several local, area, national, and
international groups that focus on community betterment--eliminating poverty and
homelessness, providing for health care needs, and focusing on peace and
justice, interfaith initiatives, abolition of the death penalty, and human
rights issues. He facilitated the Temple School course Personal Peace and
Community. He chaired a team that developed the Congregations and Community
Together Trainers and Addendum Handbook and Discover and Share Your Gifts.
He also published a book entitled Life's Reflections and has written
several other articles and papers.
Workshops
Discover and Share Your Gifts - A dynamic support resource to help
fulfill every disciple's response that indeed "all are called according to
the gifts of God."
Congregation and Community Together (CCT) - A three-evening or weekend
congregation based training session. Four resources are used: Called to
Discipleship, CCT Addendum Handbooks and Discover and Share Your
Gifts. Resources are available in the Peace and Justice Ministries Office
and Herald House. Affirms the congregation as the demonstration plot of the
community.
Health and Wholeness - Partners with the World Church Health
Ministries Association (HMA) in facilitating classes and workshops on
health, wholeness, nutrition, mental, social, physical, church-related health
history, congregational nurses, and alternative health services. This is
addressed in the context of the call to blend body-mind-spirit. Integrates
ministers with active medical, dental, and nursing teams outreaching services in
mission.
Members and Priesthood Discipleship - A comprehensive review is shared
as to the calling, processing, roles, offices, mission, and ministries of each.
Each priesthood office and member is a partner in the congregation's mission and
service. The Priesthood Manual (available from Herald House) is a central
resource.
