The 2008 Community of Christ International Peace Award will be presented
to a signal community that actively seeks to embody peacemaking. Join us
for the ceremony at 7:30 p.m., Friday, October 3. All are invited and
admission is free. The Community of Christ International Peace Award
has been given annually (except for 1996) since 1993 and ranks high in
the lists of non-governmental international and USA peace awards.
Recipients represent diversity in terms of ethnicity, gender, and
faith. The Community of Christ International Peace Award honor roll
includes Jane Goodall, Dolores Huerta, James Lawson, Jean Vanier, and
Ela Gandhi.
