The Peace Colloquy will focus on justice and peacemaking through worship and music as we celebrate the launch of our next hymnal, Community of Christ Sings. More than a dozen songs from Community of Christ International Peace Award recipient Rev. John Bell and the Iona Community will be included in the next hymnal, reflecting Christ’s mission and Community of Christ Mission Initiatives.
Everyone is invited to attend and share this uplifting, song-filled weekend. There will be programming for all ages. Events will include a youth retreat that will run concurrently with the Colloquy.
Colloquy attendees will be among the first to receive the new hymnal. Experience the powerful message and mission of justice and peace through song and poetry. New to this year’s Colloquy is a full day of Friday activities including a take-away Hymn Festival and Worship ready to use in your congregation.
Events like the 2013 Peace Colloquy with the launch of Community of Christ Sings happen once in a lifetime. I hope to see you there.
