Suggested worship

The following is an update on World Ministries
Mission Tithes contributions. For more information and updates on how your
contributions to World Ministries Mission Tithes are spreading the peace of
Jesus Christ, read the March Herald
“Sharing Our Witness and Resources” section. For offertory stories from
Apostle Mary Jacks Dynes’ Canada/North Central USA Mission Field, visit

A. World Ministries Mission Tithes Update
The church received an estimated $680,000 in World Ministries Mission Tithes in
January 2008. Through updated congregational reporting, adjustments have been
made to previous months’ estimates, and income shows a slight increase.
Thank you
for giving so generously. Your faithful support of the ministries of the church
changes lives for the better. Here’s how:
· Oblation Fund assistance to treat those critically ill with malaria in Africa
· Field
ministers at College Camp in Iowa who provide ministry to young adults to help
them reconnect to the church
· African
American Ministries—an example of an urban pathway for youth at risk to come, be
changed, and discover the gospel anew.
We are still about 4 percent behind what we will need to reach our goal for the
year of $10.9 million so that the ministries of the church can be expanded to
share with those who are yearning for the hope of the gospel. Thank you for
responding faithfully by sharing so very generously.
B. Congregational Ministries Mission Tithes Update: Local
The congregational financial officer should give an update about the
congregation’s budget at this time. Highlight positive things that have happened
in addition to items that need attention.

C. Blessing on the Offering
From Psalm 130:7 (NRSV) we read: O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the
Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is great power to redeem.
Sharing our offerings equally between local and world ministries changes
lives around the world. Let us share in the prayer of blessing on our offering.
