Peace Support Network,
which provided services to “Community of Christ Peace Support Network,”
recently became a separate not-for-profit corporation. Based in Nebraska,
it is headed by its president Kelly Guinan. As an independent entity, the
Peace Support Network will continue to pursue networking, educational, and
resource development functions to support peacemaking in harmony with the
church’s mission. For more information visit
www.peacesupportnetwork.org.
Community of Christ
will continue with peacemaking support through various means such as
networking church-sponsored, peacemaking ministries; supporting the
Children’s Peace Pavilion and its satellites; facilitating events like the
Peacemakers Summit in September 2009; and strengthening our peace advocacy
and action functions. Watch for more information about emerging
opportunities to take part in peacemaking through church networks and
initiatives.
Thank you for your support of peacemaking
initiatives in response to the call to “create pathways in the world for
peace” (Doctrine and Covenants 163:3a).
