Ergo to Present at Hymn Society’s Annual Conference

Community of Christ will host the 26th annual conference of the Hymn Society in the United States and Canada, July 15-19, at the Auditorium and Temple. Jack Ergo, principal conductor/worship specialist in Worship Ministries, has been invited to present the opening hymn festival.

This is a special honor for Ergo who is a long-time hymn society member and conference attendee. The hymn festival, "Hymns and Songs of Peace," will explore the peace hymnody of the church using many selections from the Sing for Peace hymnal. Many of the hymn authors will be present at the conference.

Jack has elected to present a full World Conference-style hymn festival with a large choir and orchestra. This service will be satellite broadcast on Sunday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m. central time. Satellite details will be posted on the Web site at www.CofChrist.org/worship two weeks before the service.
