| In the middle of Joseph and Emma Smith's Nauvoo, the historic Nauvoo House is just steps away from the Homestead, Mansion House and Red Brick Store. |
The Historic Nauvoo House is available to rent for overnight group housing or receptions. Located on the bank of the mighty Mississippi and directly across the street from Joseph and Emma Smith’s Homestead and Mansion House, it provides the perfect setting from which to explore beautiful Nauvoo and is especially well suited for youth groups, family reunions, and congregational or ward retreats.
Groups from twenty to sixty can be accommodated in twin bunk beds located on the second and third floors with bathrooms located on the top two floors as well. Overnight guests are responsible for providing their own sheets, blankets, pillows and towels. A commercial kitchen and large dining/meeting room are located on the first floor. The building is air conditioned and heated for year around comfort. Due to the historic nature of the structure, the Nauvoo House is not accessible.
The fee schedule for 2010 is $15.00 per person per night with a minimum cost per night of $300.00. An advance deposit of $300.00 plus a $150.00 cleaning deposit for a total of $450.00 is required to reserve the house. The $150.00 cleaning deposit is refunded if the building is left clean upon departure.
