Grant Funding Approved
Breathitt County (Kentucky) Homeless Coalition, Inc. This
proposal is to support the food pantry aspect of the coalition’s
activities. $6,000.

Grant Funding Acknowledged
Emergency Relief for Iraqi war victims. The Committee
acknowledged the contribution approved by the chair for an emergency grant of
$25,000 to Mercy Corps International in May 2003.
Grant Received
Feinstein Challenge Fund. For the second year, the World
Hunger Fund received a $1,000 grant from the Feinstein Challenge Fund in
recognition of the participation of World Hunger Committee-sponsored projects
that raised more than $256,000 for hunger-related programs in the United
States during March and April of 2003.
