Kosovo Relief Effort

A total of $95,000 has been sent to aid Kosovar refugees—
providing food, shelter, and other critical necessities during the crisis.

Three separate donations from the church were channeled through Mercy Corps International (MCI).  The World Hunger Committee made the initial contribution of $25,000. An additional $30,000 was presented to MCI in June based on early indications of people’s generous contributions to the World Hunger Fund in the month of May. August 19, 1999, after the total amount of offerings designated to benefit Kosovar refugees was calculated, the final contribution of $40,000 was sent to MCI.
