25 Years of Service

Steve Veazey
Steve’s ministry has stretched from the plains of the Midwestern United States to the hills of Asia. Since becoming a full-time minister twenty-five years ago, he has shared his testimony in European homes older than the United States and in huts newly erected by villagers. As President, he carries his responsibilities with the gifts of humor, hope, and a unique view of life that only a fisherman can have. “Still waters run deep,” and with Steve, those waters are of love for his family, God, and the church. Steve, we thank you for your gifts of leadership in guiding the church toward Christ’s peaceful reign.

30 Years of Service

David Brock
It has been said that the word “slow” is not in his vocabulary. Yet Dave Brock always has time to spare for a warm smile or a friendly word. Always conscientious and affirming of others, he is well-suited for his role as Presiding Evangelist. He is equipped not only with a personality that radiates what it means to be an evangelist, but also with an understanding of the importance for evangelists to be worldwide ministers, and at the same time personal ministers. Dave, in all of the roles you have filled during the last thirty years, thank you for sharing the peace and joy of Jesus Christ with those around you.

Rich Kohlman
Compassion finds embodiment in the life and service of Rich Kohlman. Not only at world church headquarters, but in all other avenues of his life, Rich brings a blessing to those around him. We are all aware, as church employees, that Rich is available to us in good times and when we struggle. At all times, his is a comforting and understanding presence. Wherever he goes, he brings that same compassion and concern for others. Thank you Rich, for being a steady reminder that the grace and love of God is with us always.

Dave Wheaton
Visionary, passionate, committed to excellence and always diligent are words used by colleagues to describe Dave Wheaton. Dave’s adventurous career with the Community of Christ for the last thirty years has covered many different avenues. Dave speaks fondly of his travels for the church to bring visual stories of the Philippines, Haiti, Japan, Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras and thousands of miles around North America. Dave’s background as a broadcast engineer and serving as a production director he and his team has shared the story of the church around the world. Dave’s love of people is genuinely felt by all those who work with Dave. Thank you Dave for your ministry and continued drive to tell the story and share the peace of Jesus Christ in our world.
