Sharing the World Church in Your Community
with the Herald-in-Every-Home Program
Feature stories, news items, and intriguing thoughts from church members and
friends around the world as well as official announcements from Community of
Christ World Headquarters make the Herald more than a magazine. It is a
valuable resource that provides a vital connection for individuals throughout
the World Church. If you are reading this, you probably already receive a
subscription. However, do you also contribute to the Herald-in-Every-Home
program through your congregation?
Herald-in-Every-Home is offered to congregations in Canada and the
United States. The program offers savings to subscribers and much more. It
provides the opportunity for congregations to include people on its list of Herald
recipients who are away at college, homebound, or are not currently active in
the life of the church. Herald-in-Every-Home helps congregations maintain
contact with individuals and families in these situations and shows the
recipients that the church is actively pursuing its mission and is there for
them.
Among the church’s Principles of Discipleship is the counsel to “Share
your witness and resources.” The Herald-in-Every-Home program is one
opportunity to help fulfill that call. Your contribution to your contribution will express your personal commitment to meet the congregation’s
budget for the Herald, keeping the good news coming not only into your
own home but also into the homes of others.
To find out if your congregation is already participating or if you are
interested in beginning the Herald-in-Every-Home program at your
congregation, talk with your pastor. One contact person for each congregation
maintains the subscription list, handles the invoices, and corresponds with Herald House (1-800-767-8181, ext.
7; subscriptions@heraldhouse.org).
Regular subscription rates for the Herald are $29 in the U.S. and $35 +
GST tax in Canada. Herald-in-Every-Home
rates are $24 in the U. S. and $29 in Canada.
