Good $ense Ministry
Implementation Options
- The mission center financial officer provides overall commitment and support for this
ministry. A mission center champion, after receiving orientation and
training, handles the details involved in
promotion and support for congregational champions, helping them organize
local promotion, Good $ense events, and follow-up mentoring.
- The congregation takes the initiative to coordinate all local Good $ense
activities with support offered at www.CofChrist.org/bishop
(Presiding Bishopric), www.CofChrist.org/goodsense,
and www.goodsenseministry.com.
- Offer as a Temple School course either for
all participants or for those who would like to receive Temple
School credit (for an additional $10 fee). If there is one or more in a
class that would like Temple School credit, the class must meet a minimum
of 10 hours. The coding is: DS 150 Good
$ense: A Course on Budgets.
- A small group of one to two families offer the Good $ense Budget
Course with a facilitator instead of a teacher/instructor over an extended
period of time. Some mentoring could take place between course sessions.
- Interested individuals and families find a Good $ense Budget
Course offered by another organization in their local area through
http://www.goodsenseministry.com/training/LTbc.asp
NOTE: This could be a particularly meaningful ministry for members of the
Aaronic priesthood.
