World Ministries Mission Tithes Contribution Update—September 14, 2008

The following is an update on World Ministries Mission Tithes contributions. A. World Ministries Mission Tithes Update

The church received an estimated $700,000 in World Ministries Mission Tithes in July 2008. The budget for the new fiscal year, which began July 1, is $10.5 million. We needed to receive $764,000 in July in order to be on track to balancing the budget, so we are about 8 percent behind after one month.

Here are a few of the missionary opportunities your contributions of $10.5 million support around the world:

• Native language resources and translations of the scriptures for the Saints in Central and South America
• YAK (Young Adult Koinonia) podcasts, which create new pathways for the proclamation of the gospel
• Full-time ministers to support missionary outreach in Brazil
