Seminary Dean Dr. Compier draws on the theological thought of key voices in Community of Christ and in the larger Christian tradition. He explores how God uses us and common material things to bring blessing into the lives of many. |

Does the “evangel” in your evangelist ministry need strengthening? Apostle Skoor explores apostolic witness and the challenge of reviving people, congregations, and yourself. |

Enriching the Life of the Church: Intergenerational Mutual Mentoring This class offers an effective mentoring approach based on mutuality. The class presenters challenge evangelists to form mentor friendships with young adults. The class has three parts: 1) Biblical and theological foundations of Christian mentoring, 2) Increasing appreciation of young adults, and 3) Introducing a specific mentoring approach to young adults called “Reverse Mentoring”. A hoped for outcome of the class is to increase the success of mentoring where each will grow and the church becomes richer for it. |

Exploring We Share, David Schaal (17:42) We Share: Identity, Mission, Message, and Beliefs is a foundational identity document for the church that is being used to align church message, programs and resources. President Schaal explores We Share and its implications for the evangelist. |

Spiritual Direction, Spiritual Formation Team: Carolyn Brock, Bruce Crockett, Marlene Krueger, Marvin Rice, Kathy Shockley, and Donna Sperry (51:23) Evangelists’ ministry as spiritual companions is grounded in spiritual practice and friendship with God. This is the introductory session for an 8 hour training that explores spirituality, spiritual formation, spiritual companioning, discernment, and spiritual direction. The training engages in spiritual disciplines that deepen life in God, and seeks to increase skills of compassionate presence and “holy listening” that are essential for spiritual companioning for individuals and congregations. |
