A Special Opportunity to Respond--
IRA Rollover Gift Option

IRA Video

We are each challenged to consider our personal response to God’s call to be generous disciples. People answer this call in many ways, including charitable contributions to the church. These financial gifts help breathe life into our mission statement by playing a significant role in the effort to make Zion a reality for people all over the world.

Thanks to new legislation by Congress, contributors to Community of Christ in the United States who are 70 ½ or older have a special opportunity to help share the peace of Jesus Christ throughout the world through gifts made from IRAs (individual retirement accounts) during 2008 and 2009. If you are over age 70 ½, the federal government now permits you to rollover any amount from your IRA to charity up to $100,000 in one year without claiming any increased income or paying any additional tax.

The team of caring professionals in Estate and Financial Planning will help in your efforts to align your legacy with your values as a disciple of Christ. Contact us at efp@CofChrist.org, or call 1-800-884-7526 (1-877-526-7526 in Canada) if you would like further information on making a gift to the church.
