Barbara Tankard-Thatcher

Barbara was born and raised in Washington D.C. and began organ study at the age of twelve under the direction of William Watkins at Georgetown Presbyterian Church. Barb continued her music study while pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in nursing and a minor in music at Graceland College. Barb is employed full-time as a nurse clinician for a cardiology group in Independence, Missouri.

Barbara Tankard-Thatcher has received certification as a Colleague of AGO from the American Guild of Organists. Barb has served as organist for several churches in the Independence and Kansas City area.
