Survey Information
In 2009-2010 we asked anyone who was interested to fill our a survey related to
the organ demonstration recitals in order to help us in our planning for the
future. We indicated that when the results were collated, we would put them
online. Below is a summary of the survey question responses, along with links to
the open-ended responses. If you have any comments or suggestions, please
contact either
Jan Kraybill or
Pam Robison.
If you think the demonstration recitals should be
discontinued, please tell us why.
They should not be
NO!!
Absolutely do not feel that they should be discontinued at all!
I do not think they should be discontinued
I love to hear both organs--two marvelous instruments. I miss the weekly
organ broadcasts
n/a
NO NO NO! They SHOULD NOT be discontinued! This would only further the
decline of the organ on the musical scene.
Once again do not stop these.
I cannot believe the church is even CONSIDERING canceling the recitals.
I would be very hurt if the demos were to be discontinued due to the organ is
an amazing instrument to the beauty to the tonal colors within each stop family
and I think EVERYONE should be able to here these magnificent organs.
I think it would be a shame to discontinue something so interesting and a
terrible waste/stewardship of the organs.
The organ is a historical instrument and it is not only irrelevant for modern
ministries to a modern commmunity, but it also perpetuates our inability to
offer relevant and DIVERSE music ministry to a diverse world. We have full-time
staff to provide this out-dated ministry that could be concentrating on a
variety of music/worship arts.
They are one-sided in that they present only one instrument.
I don't think the recitals should be discontinued necessarily, but I do think
they should be more enjoyable.
I'm not sure. I personally would not like to see them discontinued, but I am
interested to see what others think, and we should take all points of view into
consideration.
Keep the organ recitals--maybe twice a day during summer!
