Te E'a O Te Hau. . . the Path of Peace
This camp theme looks beyond the borders of North America to hear, see, feel and live the
Restoration story in a new way. We will go to the Pacific and cross the equator into the southern
hemisphere to the islands of French Polynesia.
The first missionaries landed in French Polynesia on April 30, 1844. The spread of the
Restoration in French Polynesia is every bit as full of political intrigue, bravery, persecution,
spiritual blessings and miracles as was experienced in North America. Throughout this resource,
we will listen to the music of the Tahitian people, see some of the majesty of theft islands, learn
some of their culture, and gain a new perspective of the unique blessings of community. We
continue to heed the call to become a global family and look Beyond the Horizon; Te E ‘a 0 Te
Hau, the Path of Peace.
This curriculum features four basic components: Island Awakenings, NetWorks, Tiki Tonight!
