BECKY L. SAVAGE

Becky L. Savage was ordained a member of the Quorum of the First Presidency in March 2007.

Prior to this assignment she served as the Director of Leadership Development at the International Headquarters in Independence, Missouri. She has also been a missionary coordinator and congregational consultant to the Florida USA Mission Center where she served as a High Priest and full-time Field Minister.

Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Savage graduated with a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Graceland College, Lamoni, Iowa, followed by a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. She received her master of arts in religion degree in May 2006 from Graceland University. She is a Development Dimensions International (DDI) Certified Facilitator.

Prior to accepting full-time ministry, Savage was Director of Education and Leadership Development at Bay Care Health System, Tampa Bay, Florida; Director of Nursing at St. Joseph’s Health Care, Tampa, Florida, and The Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. She served as Professor of Nursing at Graceland College.

Savage enjoys reading and cross-stitch. She and her husband, Gregory, have two daughters, Tena and Jessica.
