African American ministries is sponsored by the Community of Christ.
The vision of African American Ministries is
- to broaden the base of cultural experiences which constitute the
Community of Christ church family,
- to create opportunity for greater understanding of what it means
to encounter diverse ways of being the church of Jesus Christ.
- to provide an avenue for understanding of diversity in the
church.
Focus and Purpose
The central purpose of the AAM is to provide actual working examples
of living out the mission of the church within the African American
community. More specifically, the staff will focus on gathering,
correlating, researching, networking, and sharing data from their own
experiences and from other congregations/individuals in the Community of
Christ.
