Call to Prayer

It is good to welcome you to
this sacred place. Let us worship in this Temple dedicated to the
pursuit of peace as we pray to God for peace in our world. Each day we
pray for a different country.
Today we will hold up the people of Luxembourg in our prayers. Located
in Western Europe, Luxembourg attained full independence in 1864.
Although small in size, Luxembourg's central location, political
stability, and multilingual population, along with tax incentives, have
proved advantageous to it as a financial center. Foreign investment in
light manufacturing and services has offset the decline in steel, once
the nation's major industry. In recent times, Luxembourg has developed
into an active member of the European governing bodies, building on its
reputation as having been one of the European Union's architects.
Luxembourg is a staunch defender of the rights of small states within
the Union.
Blessed is the name of our God who is mindful of this people as we
worship the Prince of Peace in faith and joy. |

| Scripture Reading: Doctrine and Covenants 163:2a |
| |
Jesus Christ, the embodiment of God’s
shalom, invites all people to come and receive divine peace in the midst
of the difficult questions and struggles of life. Follow Christ in the
way that leads to God’s peace and discover the blessings of all of the
dimensions of salvation. |

A Psalm of Peace
Some say that Peace is just a dream.
A promise from God to the human family.
We can keep that promise close to heart, or throw it to the wind.
If all the dreamers of the world were focused to this cause,
I'm sure our dream could change to Word, the same as the Son of God.
With peace, and love, and charity, and an outstretched hand, humankind
could live with Peace throughout all lands. |
