Level A - early elementary

• Melodies divided between hands
• Melodies in the 5-finger positions

Level B - elementary

• Melodies have planned moves away from 5-finger positions
• RH melody; easy LH accompaniment with single notes, blocked intervals, and triads

Level C - early intermediate

• 3-part harmonizations
• Hands move freely over keyboard

Level D - mid to late intermediate

• Regular 4-part hymns

Level E - Advanced

• Regular 4-part hymns

Organ

• Arrangements for organ at about Level C
