Temple Ambassadors Launch Recognition Awards
Volunteering
to serve the community as representatives of Community of Christ is the mission
of the Temple Ambassador Corps. Their desire to honor outstanding service of
particular individuals led to the establishment of the Temple Ambassador Award
in 2009. On September 21 the first three recipients were honored: Karen
Freburg, Francis “Pat” Hansen, and Thomas Sherman. The plaque honoring these
individuals hangs in the Temple foyer. The Corps currently has about 40
members. If you are interested in being part of the Temple Ambassador Corps,
contact Cathy Loving, ext. 2030, for
more information.

Returned Mail to
International Headquarters - When sending
mail through the postal system please include the team or name of the sender in
the upper left corner of the envelope. Returned mail comes to the Membership
Records team who in turn checks the return address and sends the correspondence
back to the sender. Without a sender’s name on the envelope the Membership
Records team must open the mail in order to return the correspondence. At times
there may be sensitive or confidential information and they’d prefer not to open
these envelopes. Thank you for your help and sensitivity to this process.
The Maintenance Team
needs your help. If you notice anything broken, stained ceiling tile, or any
maintenance issues in your personal office space, contact
Facility Services, ext. 1308, so these
items can be put on a list for repair.
Check it Out! NEW
Disciple Formationweb pages! New
recommendations and ideas for Disciple Formation. Don’t miss out.
Wash your hands! It’s one of the best things you can do to stay
healthy all year around. If soap and water are not available, hand sanitizer
stations (free-standing and affixed to the wall) are located around
International Headquarters. Take advantage of these!
Contractors are replacing concrete curbs and sidewalks
along River Blvd. (west side of Temple). The street has been narrowed to
accommodate the construction equipment. Thank you for not parking along River
Blvd. during October 5-23.

as expressed by our global family.

Reminders Never Hurt
Here
are just a few reminders when it comes to e-mail etiquette. How many do you
know?
Always check your
spelling and grammar.
Don’t write in
capital letters. IF YOU WRITE IN CAPITALS, IT SEEMS AS IF YOU
ARE SHOUTING. This can be highly annoying and might trigger an
unwanted response.
Don’t leave out the
message thread. When you reply to an e-mail, include the
original mail in your reply; in other words, click “Reply”
instead of “New Mail.”
Try to break your
message into logical paragraphs.
Reply promptly.
Don’t overuse “Reply
to All.” Only use Reply to All if you really need your message
to be seen by each person who received the original message.
