Staff Updates
Linda Mountenay is officially
changing her name to Lu Mountenay. Did you know there are seven Linda’s at
IHQ, and her family has always called her Lu. So now we are all included
in Lu’s family! We are working through the details of
changing her nameplate, e-mail ID, and other areas where her name appears.
We are pleased to share that Linda Bates has moved locations to work more
closely with the Customer and Member Services Team. Linda works most closely
with Faye Cooper and the Membership Records responsibilities. She will continue
to help support scheduling organists, the Messiah Team, coordinating payroll,
and a few other support needs.
HRM Seminar
To help our staff in the USA better understand how a Health Savings Account
works and the potential benefit this option might have, Human Resource
Ministries will be sponsoring two information seminars in the Continents Room.
- Wednesday, October 15th at 2:00 p.m.
- Thursday, October 16th at 10:00 a.m.
Each session will last approximately one hour with time following for
questions. The session on Thursday will be a webcast and then archived for
those who are not available to participate.

Hymnal Project
When we sing about what we believe, song becomes an integral
part of shaping us as disciples of Jesus Christ in the Community of Christ. The
church’s hymnal project is designed to help us clearly articulate and celebrate
our mission and identity, and acknowledges the importance of what we sing.
The principles that guide our witness and ministry as a
worldwide church will guide the musical selections to be included in the new
song and hymn resources. A two-piece hymnal is scheduled to be presented at the
2013 World Conference, and the work has already begun.

Peace Colloquy Archives
The 15th annual Peace Colloquy explored signal communities and
honored Koinonia with the Community of Christ International Peace Award.
Signal communities are voluntary groups of people who in their life together
witness of the kingdom of God on earth and commit to share Christ's full peace
in the world. They serve as signal points to the future God desires for all of
creation.
