E-Group Meetings
The next e-group meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 7. Human
Resources will make a presentation focused on benefits and the open enrollment
period. All meetings are currently scheduled for the Continents Room. IHQ staff
residing outside the Independence area will be included through a
teleconference. Details will follow in e-mail from e-group leaders.
World Church Leadership Support meets at 8:30 a.m.; Ministry Support
Specialists meet at 2:00 p.m. and Service Support Specialists meet at 3:30 p.m.
New Staff on the Legal Team
Welcome to Lori McCrosson who will serve as the new legal assistant on the
Legal Services Team. Lori begins work on Monday, October 29. Next time you are
walking by their office, stop in and say hello.

Telephone conferences (“teleconferences”) and web conferences allow teams to
hold meetings without needing everyone to be physically together. Community of
Christ has technology that allows you to host a telephone or web conference with

Ecumenical Women’s Gathering
The First Presidency is encouraging women ages 15 to 100 from Canada and the
United States to share with Christian women from 20 more denominations. This
event will be held at International Headquarters, June 19–22, 2008.
There will be a lunch and closing for Community of Christ women following the
final ecumenical worship on Sunday. Register by November 30 at

91st Annual Messiah Performance
Join several thousand others at the 91st annual performance of Handel’s
Messiah presented by the Independence Messiah Choir, together with the Kansas
City Symphony. This is an excellent way to begin the season in which we
anticipate and celebrate the birth of Christ.
The performance will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, at
Community of Christ Auditorium in Independence, Missouri. Purchase tickets from
