Conference Material Pick-up for IHQ Staff
Although the Registration Booth will be open starting Monday, March 12, the
team asks that IHQ staff refrain from picking up materials and badges until
Tuesday, March 13. This will give booth staff additional time to set-up
and be trained on the new on-demand badge printing process. The team also
asks that if you are picking up materials and badges for ten people or more to
please call ahead (ext. 1500) to arrange a time for pick-up.

International Delegate Housing Need
There is still a great need for housing delegates from other nations during
the 2007 World Conference. Delegates begin arriving around March 16 to attend
related events and will leave around the first week of April.
If you live in the Independence/Kansas City area and can open your home to
brothers and sisters from other nations, please e-mail
kbrookens@CofChrist.org or call ext. 2337 or 2466. Past host families
encountered
rich experiences with their guests and speaking a second language is not a requirement!
New Employee
Please welcome Michelle Booth as the new administrative specialist in the
Presiding Bishopric. She will start Monday, March 12.
International Guides
Please welcome our four international guides:
- Michelle de Mol – Australia
- Joe Tukutukuwaqa – Fiji
- Erik Olijnsma – Netherlands
- Iryna Chloni-Ediger – Ukraine
They will be at IHQ until April 1 for training and will be assisting Guide
Services, International Services, and the Children’s Peace Pavilion. After April
1, they travel to Kirtland and Nauvoo to offer their services as guides at
these historic sites. When you see them in the Temple or Auditorium, please take a moment to
introduce yourself and extend your welcome.
Help Share the Sacred Story in Independence, Missouri
A volunteer couple is needed to serve on the church's Visitor Services Team.
They will act as Site Coordinators for the Heritage Plaza Historic Site and
welcome visitors to the Temple and Auditorium. Qualifications include strong
communication skills, an interest in church history, and the desire to share the
story of the church today. Training, housing, and utilities are provided. For
more information call 440.339.6398 or e-mail
temple@ncweb.com.
Daily Prayer for Peace Time Change
Beginning April 9, the Daily Prayer for Peace will move
from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., central time. Staff and visitors are urged to
participate in the service in the Temple sanctuary. For those who are not in
Independence, please pause each day for a moment of silent prayer and know that
you are raising your voice in unison with others around the world.
