Office Closing

18, in observance of President’s Day (US).
“Keep your Fork, There’s Pie!”
Join us for a little slice of heaven on Thursday, February 21,
from 2:00–3:30 p.m. in the Auditorium’s Lower Assembly Room to celebrate and
fellowship together over a piece of pie.
We need twelve people who would be willing to bring a pie and their recipe to
share. Start looking through those recipes…cherry, apple, rhubarb, lemon
meringue, sugar free, chocolate, the list is endless! There will be something
for everyone and you won’t want to miss out!
Contact Susan Naylor at
snaylor@CofChrist.org or ext. 3045 to bring a pie or volunteer to set up
right before the event.

Free Organ Recital by Graceland Professor
David Pickering, assistant professor of music at Graceland
University, will perform a free organ recital in the Auditorium on Sunday, March
9, at 3 p.m. Dr. Pickering will play César Franck's Trois Pièces and
Charles-Marie Widor's Fifth Symphony. Visit the
Dome and Spire
website for more information about Dr. Pickering.
Observing the Lenten Season
On Ash Wednesday the Co-missioned Pastors (Cohort 3) met in the
Temple Chapel to begin the Lenten season by worshiping together. As a part of
that service, each pastor identified something they were going to entrust to God
and placed it in a red urn. During the final moments of the worship, the urn was
placed in the Japanese garden to remain there throughout Lent. When you have
opportunity, you can view the red urn in the garden.
